Biography
Johannes Gullichsen is a fifth-generation member of the Ahlström family, a distinguished Finnish industrial Family Business whose legacy dates back to 1851. Over the past three decades, Johannes has played a key role in the Ahlström Family Business, currently serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board of A.Ahlström Oy , the family’s flagship holding company. Additionally, he chairs the Board’s Nomination Committees for A. Ahlström Oy and Ahlström Invest BV, ensuring the continuity of the family’s governance.
Beyond corporate leadership, Johannes is dedicated to preserving and chronicling the Ahlström family’s profound influence on Finnish society through historical book projects. He is actively engaged in the Finnish Family Business Network (FBN), contributing to two Working Groups: Political Influence and Listed Companies, while also participating in international family business networking.
He has a B.Sc. Electrotechnical Engineering 1990, Swedish Institute of Technology (Now Arcada). MBA Finance. 2003, Helsinki School of Economics (Now Aalto University). He has further studied Agro-Ecology, Soil Chemistry, and Forest Economy 2012 at the University of Helsinki, to deepen his understanding of sustainable development.
