Biography
Born in Comodoro Rivadavia (Argentina), on December 1st, 1961, Ramón Alejandro has a degree from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Zaragoza (1980-1985) as well as a master’s degree from the ESTE School (University of Deusto, 1987-1988).
He joined Saica Group in 1988, working for plants that the company had in Mexico, where he stayed from 1988 until 1992 as a manager.
In 1992, he worked for the Saica Recovered Paper business division. After that, Mr. Alejandro also held several managerial positions within the corrugated packaging business division becoming General Manager of Saica Pack in 2001 and managing plants throughout Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, UK & Ireland.
Since April 2007, and continuing as Saica Pack General Manager, Ramón took on the responsibility of Executive Vice-President for the Saica Group. In July 2010, he assumed the Presidency of the Saica Group, until 2024 when he became President of the newly established Saica Foundation.
Ramón is a third-generation member of the families that founded the company 82 years ago, taking over the reins from the second generation.
He is also a member of Instituto de la Empresa Familiar.
