Review - EFB Summit Lisbon

On the 18th of November, thanks to the invaluable support of Empresas Familiares, the voice of Portuguese family businesses, the 3rd European Family Business Summit took place in Lisbon. 140 family business leaders from 17 countries came together to discuss topical political and business issues faced by family-owned companies.

Hidden Growth within Family Businesses

European Family Businesses (EFB) and KPMG once again seek to bring an insight into what drives or hinders family business growth. The report is based on the reflections of 26 prominent family business owners in eight countries: France, Germany, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, and the United Kingdom, which were gathered in qualitative individual interviews conducted face-to-face or by telephone.

European Family Business Barometer

In this 5th edition of the European Family Business Barometer, European Family Businesses (EFB) and KPMG once again seek to bring an insight into the confidence levels of family businesses, the challenges affecting their everyday operations and the solutions they seek to ensure their development and sustainable growth. This year we see Europe’s family businesses demonstrate high confidence and strong resilience to external pressures and challenges.

EU Project on Family Business Statistics

EFB can finally reveal preliminary results from the COSME funded project on family business statistics. Launched in 2015, the European Commission’s call for tender on ‘Statistics for Family Businesses’ is finally nearing completion.

EFB Summit 2017 - Amsterdam

This year’s EFB Summit will be held in Amsterdam from the 29th to the 30th of May. Registrations will be opening very soon so be sure to check EFB’s website in the coming weeks.

Malta Business Transfer Conference

The 2017 Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union would like you to save the date for the Business Transfer Conference to be held in Malta on Friday 17th March 2017.
